Welcome to my “Scare Co.” portfolio, a fascinating juxtaposition of my aversion to horror and my fascination with its darkest corners. Despite my discomfort with horror films and a visceral aversion to real blood, I’m irresistibly drawn to capturing the macabre through photography. There’s a certain thrill in exploring the world of monsters and zombies—a world that, while unnerving, pushes the boundaries of imagination and artistry. This collection embodies the unique tension between my personal dread and artistic curiosity, where each image transforms fear into a captivating visual narrative. The photographs embrace the eerie and grotesque, seen through the eyes of someone who paradoxically avoids such themes in real life. These high-production shoots involve skilled artists in CFX visual effects makeup, capturing creatures of the night in extraordinary settings like abandoned waterparks, eerie swamps, and dilapidated trains near the Mexico border, all designed to reflect a deeper engagement with the genre that unsettles me.
